Not everyone gets to watch a camera being built in person, but anybody can take one apart—as long as you don’t care whether it never works again. That’s why I’d rather watch a teardown video, like this one by All About Circuits that shows a Fujifilm Instax mini 8 instant-film camera being disassembled.
I wish the video had lingered over the mechanical parts of the camera and given us a tour of the lens. But it’s no surprise that All About Circuits went straight for the electronics and lingered on the circuit board.
