“Unplugged” Is A Short Film About What It’s Like To Be A Wedding Photographer In The Modern Era
Wedding photography gets harder when you're competing with the guests.

This is prime time for weddings in my area, so I have seen many of my wedding photographer friends share this video on social media already. The short film shows the pitfalls of professional wedding photography that have stemmed from the “everyone is a photographer” era. It’s all basically true, from the talkative relatives with brand new DSLRs, to the ambitious uncles who will hop out in front of you with a smartphone in order to be the first to share the all-important kiss shot with the couple, blurry and dark as it may be.
Personally, I’m not one to complain about such things because I understand that it’s fun to take pictures. I’ve been “uncle Bobbed” on many occasions, but it’s something I personally try to anticipate and plan around. It’s also something I warn clients about before the day ever comes. But, the video is worth a laugh and it’s also worth sharing with your guests before they come to your ceremony and stick an iPad in the middle of the aisle during a kiss to try and get a shot.
