PPH0115_FEATURE_CameraOfTheYear
Okay, the photos of the condor egg recently found in Mexico have been seen. There is absolutely no news value in saying anything more about them here. But I’ve got to tell you, I haven’t been this excited about a birth since my own kids came along about 13 years ago. (See the story here.)
The egg was found in an abandoned eagle nest in the Sierra San Pedro de Martir National Park on March 25. The forthcoming birth would mark the return of the California Condor to Mexico, which hasn’t had a wild, breeding population of the species in 75 years.
I’m just saying, I love condors. The photograph is credited to Mike Wallace/ZSSD via AP. This is a shot I wish I could have been there for.
