Photographer Renee Robyn’s Photography Career Started With a Motorcycle Accident
A terrible accident resulted in a budding passion for a Canadian photographer
The folks at SmugMug have put together a rather excellent little short film about Canadian photographer Renee Robyn who took up photography (more specifically, photography composite images) after a motorcycle accident almost killed her.
Renee’s work is full of fantasy-driven scenes made from combining photos of models shot in the studio with digital textures and other photographs. She explains that she was drawn to the composite as an art form because she couldn’t really get out and do photoshoots due to her injuries.
It’s a pretty inspiring story and definitely makes me feel a little guilty about all those times I’ve opted to sit home and be lazy instead of picking up my camera and making the images that are banging around inside my head.
