Today’s Photo of the Day was taken by Michael Littlejohn in the Bisti Badlands of New Mexico. “[This] was once a coastal swamp of an inland sea, home to many large trees, reptiles, dinosaurs and primitive mammals,” Michael writes of the location. “Today hikers find the preserved record of this swamp amidst a true desert wilderness.” Michael captured this night time scene with a Canon EOS 6D, a 25 second exposure and a ISO of 5000. Today’s Photo of the Day was taken by Gaurav Agrawal during a drive through the Grand Tetons and is a rather successful pan shot. “This herd of bisons were conjuring enormous momentum, probably shooing away the prong horns that might be grazing too close for their liking,” Gaurav writes about the scene.
