Kodak 2006 Corporate Video Predicted “Winds of Change”
Company video shows that Kodak wanted to be at the forefront of digital photography.
Seven years ago, almost every photographer had switched to digital, and Kodak knew they were in trouble. Now, on the heels of their Chapter 11 Bankruptcy filing, their corpate “Winds of Change” video seems like an unfullfilled prophecy. Even making mention that the company sold their first (failed) digital camera to Apple 20 years prior, spot on perdictions about the future of digital photography (like GPS) are hinted at. The self-awareness of laughing at their failures (Advantix), and their sappy retro “Kodak Moment” image feels poigant in hindsight. Still feelingnostalgic?
