Canon hits 50

Megapixels, that is. Yup, Canon is developing a 50 megapixel CMOS sensor. What’s even more remarkable is that they’re packing all that resolution into an APS sized sensor – twice as much as any of its competitors, and more than most medium-format digital systems. Does this mean we’re going to see a Canon 1D Mk4 soon? I wouldn’t bet on it.
