The Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California, has just announced that it will display Great Picture (above) from September 6 to 29 at the school’s South Campus Wind Tunnel. Previously, anyone who wanted to see this 3,375-square-foot gelatin silver print had to visit the former El Toro Marine Corps base in Irvine, California, where a giant hangar had been converted into a massive “camera obscura.” A gumball-sized hole in the hangar’s wall served as the aperture for the image, which appeared upside down and flipped left to right on a humongous sheet of photo-sensitive fabric.
