Become a Photo Tourist
— Kathleen Davis
You just couldn’t stop taking shots of Notre Dame on your last vacation. But who’s going to want to sit though a slide show of 100 shots of the same building? The most interesting way to browse though large collections of photos of one subject is with the new beta version of Microsoft’s Photosynth software, Photo Tourism.
The software integrates all of the photos into a 3D composite and lets you click though different views and details. It will let your friends and family feel like they were there, rather than boring them to tears. You can also use it to gather photos of places you want to go from sites like Flickr and take a virtual tour before you pack your bags. (Photo Tourism via Oh! Gizmo link)
