Lomography kicked off its 10th Kickstarter project yesterday with the announcement of the Lomogon 2.5/32mm Art Lens. The lens was fully funded in under seven hours. According to Lomography the new wide-angle lens brings the aesthetics of the Lomo LC-A camera to digital DSLRs and mirrorless cameras. The lens will be available in Canon EF or Nikon F mount, although Lomography will also sell adapters for attaching it to mirrorless bodies.
The lens has dial-style aperture that features a tactile click and stop feature. Images created with it demonstrate plenty of vignetting, and the circular bokeh that is the signature of so many Lomography products. It is available in black or a brassy gold. Here is what else we know about the lens.
- Aperture range of f/2.5 – f/11
- Six elements in six groups
- Close focusing distance of 0.4m
- Helicoid focusing mechanism
- 68 degree field of view
- 62mm filter thread
