Getty Canon Cameras Olympics Rio 2016

The Olympics in Rio are happening soon as you might already know, and for Getty Images Sport, the Games are very serious business. This morning, the agency posted a picture of some of the Canon gear it will be issuing to its photographers to capture the 1.5 million images or so that will come from the competition.

Even if you’re not from the Canon camp, all those EOS 1D X Mark II bodies and big white zoom lenses are worth drooling over. I’m not going to do the hard math because this is obviously a very expensive pile of gear, but consider that each EOS 1D X Mark II is $5,999 retail, and the popular EF 200-400mm F/4L IS USM Extender retails for $11,000. Then we get into the really long lenses.
