Pentax Announces Huge Limited Edition Q7 Premium Camera and Lens Kit

Ricoh/Pentax has unveiled the Pentax Q7 Premium Kit, an extremely limited edition kit of the Q7, four lenses, accessories, and a special carrying case. Only 1,000 of the Premium Kit will be produced, and for those excited few around the globe who purchase them, they’ll go for $1,199.95 a pop.

The Premium Kit comes with

Unlike the usually available lenses, the 01 and 02 lenses have been colored black to match the body, and so to has the metal hood for lens 01. The shoulder bag is large enough to hold the camera with the 02 lens mounted, and with space for up to five more lenses and/or accessories.

Most of these extremely limited edition camera sets never find their ways to American shores, so it’s pretty nice to see. This is also one of the few times when one of these limited editions seems to be a fairly reasonable price. The Q7 with the 02 and 06 lens will set you back around $600, add $175 for the 01, and $500 for the 08, and suddenly this seems like a steal.
