Compared to most other fisheye prime lenses, Canon’s 8-15mm F/4 zoom lens is actually very versatile. But, unless you already have one in your bag, it’s hard to get a handle on exactly how fishy things get with a fisheye, so we put together a little video demonstration that shows what you’ll get on both a full-frame and a crop body. It’s a nice companion to our sample image gallery.
Note: We shot the video in 4:3 standard definition, which cut off the right and left sides of the frame. This is because shooting in 16:9 HD mode would have cropped the top and bottom of the frame, preventing us from showing off the fully circular image possible on a full-frame body.
