Start digging through your recent work—The New York Photo Festival is seeking entrants for their next photography invitational, PhotoWorld 2014: Breaking Photography. The show will open September 26 in DUMBO and feature the best new documentary, fine art, GIF and drone photography. Submissions are being accepted until September 12.

This year Elizabeth Avedon, Jim Casper from LensCulture, Whitney Johnson from The New Yorker, Elizabeth Krist from National Geographic, and many others are helping judge submissions. These same jurors will be offering hour-long portfolio reviews to the winners in each category. Winners from last year’s invitational included Sebastiano Tomada, Bryan Schutmaat, Jessica Antola, Tamara Dean and Sian Davey.
